The Only Disability in Life is a Bad Attitude

Matthew Jeffers is only 4’2″ as a grown adult and he’s endured a lot of heartbreak and obstacles in his young life.

But the email he wrote recently to his favorite team, the Baltimore Ravens, gives some incredible reasons why “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”

Watch the video and then share it with your friends!

  1. How Wonderful to see this youngman finding this key so early in life. I was first introduced to the disabled at age 12. I was always the healthy one who new since a very early age that I was blessed with what every I had as long as I had it and that I had no room to feel sorry for myself. I was able bodied though over weight, short, healthy and I could walk. The disabled would trade with me in a hot New York minute. Even while working with the handicapped in Honolulu Hawaii I new they would trade places with me in a slow but poinaint Hawaii minute. I have always been blessed. And so has every other able bodied person on the planet! I have always prayed for the able bodied not the physically challenged. They are strong enough, for the most part. God Bless us all. Aloha! 2. Dear Vic and Lisa,

I have received many emails from you. This is by far the best one! I know you both have had your challenges, and I have had mine. But when you look around, and see something like this, don’t they seem so small?

Life seems to deal out a bad hand now and then, but it’s the way we respond that really counts. Than You for what you do.

  3. Thank you for that uplift peace Matthew Jeffers, you are one of a million out there! Good Luck to you Ravens, look at Matthew and see what he has conquered in life and go for the field goal. YES, you can! All of you can! Let Matthew’s words echo in your heads & hearts when that little doubt set in…recite Matthew’s words…that “the only disability in life…is…my attitude.” Put aside all other garbage, and go for the goal. We are all praying and cheering for you. Play from the heart, play with all you’ve gotten, play to win and pray before you play. Don’t do your best…do and go beyond your best until you can’t run or move no more! You are winners Ravens, you are!

  6. Beautiful! Brings to mind my favorite Charles Swindoll quote…

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company.. a church.. a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past.. we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you.. we are in charge of our Attitudes.” ~Charles R. Swindoll
