Attitude is everything

Several years ago a long-time friend of mine shared with me the following quote on Attitude that has been attributed to Pastor and Author Chuck Swindoll:

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.

It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company … a church … a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past … we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.

I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you — we are in charge of our Attitude.”

No one I have ever met…and no teacher, speaker or author that I know of…personifies that quote better than my friend Jeff Keller. If your attitude could use a tune-up, I know you’ll want to check this out….

  1. I can see how this quote brought the meaning to our recent life circumstances. We lost our daughter Tracy on August 27th, 2005
Due to a car accident in Nevada Highway.
The driver was under the influence of drugs…
    See: http://www.tracyfein.com

We are preparing to go to court on December 20th
We have been working intensively on our
    “Victim’s Statement”
And what that is, consists of a letter
to the probation officer to state how the loss
of our daughter has affected our lives…
    Really understated feeling…

    Moreover… this individual
    has prior history of DUI
    and has been released…
    Released to kill…

    As we mourn our Tracy,
and going through the tourtourus letter writing…
we wish to send our letters,
    for public awareness.
We wish to take it a little deeper…

We have published part of the portafolio on the web.
We invite you to please visit:

    As we all know,
Nothing is going to bring our Tracy back,
    But I also know,
I do not wish her life to be sacrificed in vain…

I know we must actively stimulate public awareness
to the fullest of our abilities.
    Today is our special Tracy…
    Tomorrow?
Might be your special loved one…

    These irresponsible actions
of driving under influence of drugs
    with little reverence for life…
has to be stopped once and for all.
    Much suffering can be avoided.

Someday they may get the message…

    Life is too precious.
    Life is too fragil…

We invite you to take a look at it
    and give us some feedback!

    I can see very clearly…
“Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you — we are in charge of our Attitude.”
