Motivation for Goal Setting

I know half the world is just beginning Summer, and it’s a big temptation to take a bit of a break until September.

But the cold hard facts are that in just a few weeks we’re going to be at the halfway point in 2010. If you expect anything to change in your life THIS YEAR, you’ve got just about six months to do it.

Now understand this, that’s plenty of time IF you’re using the “secret” ingredient of every successful person I know.

This video will help you discover and use that ingredient.

After you’ve watched the video I’d appreciate it if you’d leave your comments below. And if it’s helpful to you, please Share It with a friend (or your teammates).

  1. You are a blessed man Vic,

I’ve learned so much from you!

    God bless you!

  2. My dreams are long standing and hot, but not yet white hot. I have not dumped all the childhood baggage that I have lived with. There is still a block; I know what it is; and I am working on removing that. Thank you for the pep talk and my 101 list! AWY

  3. Thank you, you have re-motivated me. I have had a lifelong dream of being an author, so I finally sat down and penned a manuscript. I was not getting anywhere trying to get an agent to look at it, so I published it myself. Promoting the book has been a challenge, but this video has inspired me to keep at it. Thank you again for your effort. Incidentally, the manuscript is my memoir, and demonstrates how the Law of Attraction has worked in my life to bring me my perfect mate, among other things. 4. Thank you Vic….I Love it …”.Dream Lofty Dreams, and as you dream so shall you become “-James Allen, So simple

  5. Vic, yes i liked the nice short and snappy video. Especially the 101 goals in 20 minutes- have written that on top of a blnk page- so am going to do that exercise. Facinated to see what i come up with-will share my experience when done. Thanks Oliver

  6. Funny I receive this today in email, I just watched it in the late night early morning on Youtube. I enjoyed it then and the story of persistence was extremely motivational. There have been several things I have tried, failed about 3 times and given up. Boy does that make me rethink life. LOVED THIS. Thanks much

  7. Loved the “white-hot desire” description! Loved hearing how much this “white-hot desire” will effect my dreams and goals! … I’m further on my way!! Thanks!

  8. Vic,

You are dead on, when you speak to goals that motivate…that captivate…that create energy just by thinking about them. And inspiring others to create those goals is exactly what we need.

The questions you rolled across the screen were excellent. I’d like to see you do more in this vein – again, helping indecisive folks find themselves and helping them create a goal for themselves worth achieving. So many people, for instance, know that losing weight would add nothing but benefits to their life – it’s all good. Why don’t they do it, then? Is their vision weak? Their imagination dull? The end result not motivating enough? This is only one very common example. I’d like to see you do more work in this area. I agree with many others a negative title like “Why Goals Fail” is disconcerting, though I was intrigued by it, Perhaps something more like “How to Successfully Accomplish Your Goals” or “11 Secrets to Making Your Goals Happen (or Realizing Your Goals”). Whatever you do, stick with the subject of goals – I think that’s very important, pertinent and very useful.

Lastly, the positioning of the text is often obscured by the by-line at the bottom (www.goals2go.com). Either lower the by-line and make it smaller or raise the text box higher, but either way it needs adjustment.

I always admire your work, Vic. Keep it up.

  9. Thank you Vic for this video. I know that its true because I’m living proof of what you said about persistence. I’m finally starting to reap abundance from the seeds I sowed into my business years ago. Sometimes one has to change before change can happen to someone. Be persistent, don’t ever quit because quitters never win and winners never quit.

  10. Thank-you for this info about goals and having a white hot desire. James Allan has been an influence in my life for many years but never realized this concept could give me the desires lifestyle that I always dreamed of untill Nov 2010 wnen I was introduced to Fortune, a thanks to Paul Orbison also.

  11. Vic…

Thank you so much for the words of inspiration. This is the first time that I have actually stopped to watch one of your video. It was worth the 10 minutes. They say nothing happens before it’s time and this is a timely message you share. Thanks for reminding me that I need to dream big dreams and do my best to live them.

  12. And what happens if you discover that “No aim is worth of you”? like Jesus said in Thomas Evangelium? Literally JEsus said: “Who discovers the world, will find a cadaver, and the world not deverses him”.

Answer: You probably don’t set goals anymore, except for living.

  13. Hi Vic will you be the one that picks up Jims Mantle & keep the faith. Goals are all ways important but being reminded why is some times more so.

  14. Whaw! “Dream lofty dreams and as you dream so shall you become.” This is a very powerful echoing of James Allen’s title “As a man thinketh.” I always marvel at the brilliance of this great man. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful video with us. It has surely brightened my day.

  15. Dear Vic,
Thanks as always for your generous spirit, enthusiasm and down-to-earth examples which make your teaching so powerful!
    Blessings,
    Lynn

  16. Thanks Vic, I forgot what it feels like to feel good about my dreams. Now I feel motivated again. Time to get moving.

  17. Hi Vic, thank you for the mid-year reminder that we still have time to achieve our goals this year. I do agree that we need to put our fears aside when we make our list of dreams. We often pre-qualify our dreams due to things that might have occurred in the past. I am truly very excited about this year and I am expecting great things to happen. Dream it, Believe it, & Achieve it! Thanks, Doreen

  18. This is a wonderful reminder for me to dream big and commit to reviewing my big goals daily. Thanks so much, Vic.

  19. I am always dreaming and scheming but never seem to accomplish anything. My thoughts are scattered and I need direction. Loved the story of the guy who failed over and over to finally succeed. My problem is, I never seem to get started, but I know I will someday. Thanks for this motivation.

  20. Thank you, Vic! This is very inspiring. I especially love the quote at the end. I’ve always loved to daydream, and most of the time they are big dreams. My obstacle in achieving my goals is that I lack the belief. There is this constant doubt in my mind, and I’m doing my best to shake it off… I just try to shut the doubtful voice up by immersing myself in my daydreams again. Hopefully this will work and my dreams will soon be a reality. 🙂

  21. I like being reminded of dreaming BIG. I seem to scale down my dreams to a more “realistic” size and I’m changing my mind.

My desire was drowned by personal circumstances but I’ve pulled it out and dried it off. I’m going to go do my 101 list right now!

  22. Great video Vic. It’s time for me to go after what I want with a WHITE HOT desire!

    God Bless

  23. Hey Vic! Thanks so much for the in sprirational Video to keep going and hangon to my dreams, I will Put this on my blog, and share this with everyone, Thanks again!

  24. Its so easy for so many of us to get lost in our everyday hustle that we do forget our goals. Having Vic remind us was a jolt i needed. Take a step back and find what you love, want to try & do and go chase it. The everyday hustle comes 2nd.

  25. Thank You for reminding me about my desire.IT reminded me of the when I quit smoking cigarette’s, my desire was so great that it wasn’t even difficult.

I can feel that desire starting to rekindle itself with my present dreams which are huge, so again thank you Vic for this video and encouragement.

  26. Thanks. Enlightening and provoking. Reminded of my reading Napoleon Hill’s chapter on “desire”.

  27. Thanks. Enlightening and provoking. Reminded of my reading Napoleon Hill’s chapter on “desire” years ago.

  28. Not a bad reminder, I’ve heard it before but sometimes hearing it worded another way helps you really get it. Thanks.

  29. Hi, Vic.

Thank you for sending me, motivation for goal setting. It’s been around a long time but often we forget all about it. I have been more into dream the dream, and energies that than, goal setting for goals seem to change by what’s going on in the world or in our personal life. I love the living in the now factor of the dream, too. I am grateful for people lie you in the world. As a facilitator of metaphysic I will keep in mind the truth of commanding the self to take action. Remember Matrex? Trinity…In the beginning of the film, she commanded her self very powerfully by saying. “GET UP TRINITY” Thats what this needs. Self command, visualization, and act, and think as if you are already living your dream.

    Thanks a million.

    In warmth.

    Salana

  30. CHILD LIKE WONDER. Nice idea Vic,, I will try it tonight when I mediatate.. Thanks for taking the time,, Sandra,, Canada

  31. Very true. One life to have lofty dreams. Why not dream it and by Gods grace, Live it.

  32. The questions you asked us to think about were really thought provoking. Thank you for the help and encouragement.

  33. Thank you for the reminder on the power of inspiration and “believe, conceive, achieve.” I concur with the comment that several others made about the negative tone of the title. It’s sort of like “don’t think of an elephant” or “don’t think about failure.” Something on a positive note like “making goals that are good to go” would be better.

  34. Thanks for the video it was nice to reinforce what I have been reading lately Think And Grow Rich!!!

And that feeling in my stomach, that tingly feeling lets me know I am starting to induce my desire with thought/feeling and I have ABSOLUTE FAITH that I will get what I am dreaming to have!

    Thanks!

  35. Thanks a mil, Vic. Awesome. One of the steps we need to take is to rekindle the passion and fire within ourselves and dream big! Thank you for being an inspiration to others.

  36. It’s a great video. It’s true what you say that we ofetn don’t follow through with our dreams becos they’re nort worthwhile enough. I’m totally motivated. Thanks Vic.
